A Holy Cross resident since 2022, Julie retired and relocated here from San Francisco. She spent 30 years working in Women’s Health as the Director of Training for the local Planned Parenthood affiliate and subsequently as the Residency Program Coordinator for the department of OB/GYN at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She continues her life-long commitment to volunteerism and activism by participating in the “Stop the Grain Train” and “CAWIC” projects impacting the quality and sustainability of the Holy Cross and Lower Ninth neighborhoods. For relaxation, she can often be found hanging out with her three roommates (cats) Boris, Natasha, and Óféile Méabh (Ophelia Maeve), or at the movies. Or both.
