The Heart of Holy Cross

In Holy Cross, our strength has always been in our people. While many leaders are recognized in the news, it is often the quiet, everyday actions of our neighbors that make this community a home. We want to celebrate the folks who show up when it matters—the ones who check on an elderly neighbor, keep our streets clean, share from their gardens, or simply offer a helping hand without being asked. This program is for the 'unsung heroes' of the Holy Cross / Lower Ninth Ward who make life a little easier for everyone around them.

Each Month we will highlight one of the community members nominated by you, their neighbors. You can find the nomination form here. We will feature each month’s neighbor here on our website and plan to host an event once a year to honor all of those selected over the course of the year. (More info / details to come).
